Why You Should Watermark Your Images – Wednesday Quick Tip

Photographers and Creative Professionals - Protect Your Images with Watermarks and Logos

I’ve heard both sides of this story. One being that some people think watermarks on their pretty pictures are ugly. Maybe, but you’re probably putting your pictures online so that people can see them and therefore hire you, right? If that’s the case, it’s a great idea to include your brand and/or website URL on the image. That way, people can appreciate your work and find the source. It’s easy for the original link to get left off in the sharing shuffle, so stamping it on the photo ensures it’s there to stay!

And, as a pinner, nothing is more annoying than finding a great photo or product and not being able to track it down to purchase.

About Donna Queza

I'm an optimist grounded in realism. That's what I love about working on the web -- the possibilities to be creative and distinctive are endless, but there's always a need for those reality-driven, data-fueld folks who make our dreams into realities. I like to think I hover somewhere in the middle - creative, quantifiable internet marketing solutions.
