Business and Marketing Article Roundup July 20

Ya’ll (sorry, channeling my inner Britney Spears) we have made it through another week! Summer is in full swing and these weeks are flying by. Hopefully you’ve had the chance to get outside and enjoy this weather (if you’re in the L.A. area like me). Otherwise, you might be trying to escape the heat!

Thanks to Love Janet Photo for snapping these shots

I got a chance to have a little fun in the sun last weekend by escaping to the desert for a work/play retreat with some fellow entrepreneurs. If you get the chance, it’s great to connect with other business owners on a personal level. We had a lot of fun and also shared some of our expertise with one another. I got to teach the girls a little about enhancing their blogs’ search engine optimization (I know, I always get the sexy topics… what can I say?). A special shout out to the Itty Bitty Party Committee for doing such a fantastic job planning everything. These girls are fun and talented, if you’re planning an event look them up!

Also, a special ‘thank you’ to the Riviera Palm Springs and the Saguaro Palm Springs for hosting us poolside. These two hotels are just the right combination of swank and relaxed with a lot of music and cocktails thrown in for good measure! If you’re planning a trip to the desert, check them out! For more photos of the trip, check out Christina Dely’s beautiful shots!

Thanks to a little r&r I came back in town better than ever, and I found some great resources to share with you this week.

Blog competition and giveaway tools
If you’re thinking about hosting a giveaway on your blog, this is a great resource for tools to use. I’m using RaffleCopter right now for a client and it’s easy to use and (best of all) free. Check out the giveaway and if you’re in the L.A. area, enter to win a free personal training session.
