Don’t try and guess the search terms people use to find your product or service. Take 5 minutes right now to send an email to five people in your target market asking what terms they’d use to search for your services in Google. The results might surprise you and the insights will be helpful when you add titles and descriptions to your webpages.
For example, you might refer to yourself as a dietitian (and, technically, that’s correct) but someone looking for your services might think of nutritionist, health specialist, food expert, diet coach, weight loss consultant… Don’t spend time optimizing your site for words that people don’t commonly use!
