A Great Tool – HubSpot’s Website Grader

It’s 5:30 on a Friday and I want to end this excellent work week on a great note. Today I’m going to share a great, free tool with you – HubSpot’s Website Grader. The Website Grader does just that – grades your website based on a number of criteria. And, just like in the third grade, the grader will also let you stack your site against the competition.

Your grade might not be pretty, but the thing I like most about this tool is that it lets you know the areas where you need to improve. It looks at things from your blog, your site’s metadata, information about your domain name (including it expiration date), the number of inbound links your site has (the more the better), the site’s mobile optimization, it’ll even give you a grade on your Tweeting. Some things you may be unwilling or unable to change, but others might be easy fixes that can get your site on the road to better performance.

So, next week, show your website a little love. With all the fun we’re having on social media, it can be easy to forget our websites. But, people are still spending plenty of time searching Google (and other search engines) for what they want and need. The Website Grader will help you deliver.

Once you check it out, post your grade below (don’t be shy) and we can talk about strategies to improve (or pat you on the back if you don’t need to!)

About Donna Queza

I'm an optimist grounded in realism. That's what I love about working on the web -- the possibilities to be creative and distinctive are endless, but there's always a need for those reality-driven, data-fueld folks who make our dreams into realities. I like to think I hover somewhere in the middle - creative, quantifiable internet marketing solutions.
